Business Database Development integrating 10 different sources
In a complex organization like EOI, where you can find several non-integrated systems, simple queries can be quite complex to run. The solution was to create a Business Database that integrates up to 10 different data sources with complex business rules for the students, teachers, Enrollments…
MDM strategies were applied by identifying the master data ownerships of but allowing modifications of some properties by secondary sources (whenever specific rules are met). All of this was integrated into Pentaho as BI System to run queries and advanced reporting, using OLAP views, Reporting AdHoc reporting and custom dashboards.
The CRM and SGA Data Mart was also integrated into Pentaho, complemented by specific dashboards for tracking business pipeline CRM and advanced reporting for querying SGA surveys.
